Pimp my Ride to the White House

Does it make me a bad person to think that the “pimped out” Chelsea Clinton issue is complete bullshit and rocketing outside the realm of reason?  Slate says “No, it doesn’t, Alex.”

  1. I read that article, and as with so much of the stuff Slate inexplicably chooses to run, I thought it was ill-advised. The author has a bone to pick, and that fact means he can’t write about the subject with any validity. I mean, read that second paragraph.

  2. No, it simply makes you a reasonable person to not give a lick about the daughter of President until she becomes president herself.

  3. The more I think about the “show your spirit on Chelsea’s bloodied carcass” lline, the more it shifts from colorful violence-talk to necrophilia.

  4. i agree with that, benji, but i did enjoy the personal story as entertainment.

slate has another more moderate conversation about the pimp controversy in the XX Factor, but they also back up my feelings.
